What is it you do?
"La Maison des Mégalithes is a museum that retraces the history of the dolmens and menhirs of our region, and the people that erected them. Here in the centre of Wéris, one of the Most Beautiful Villages of Wallonia, the museum tells the storyof the first Neolithic farmers, who were raising their crops and breeding their livestock here 5000 years ago."
What prompted you to seek "Famenne-Ardenne UNESCO Global Geopark Partner" status?
"Our aim is to introduce this outstanding archaeological and natural heritage to a wider public. Being part of the Geopark helps us to promote our museum, right in the heart of one of Wallonia's Most Beautiful Villages."
What is your approach to sustainable development and environment friendly practices?
"We have a number of sustainable development initiatives under way, particularly in the form of activities aimed at the disadvantaged. We have also introduced free admission for the schools in our commune."
