Partnership?
Since 17 April 2018, our Geopark has officially been recognised as a UNESCO Global Geopark.
One of our projects is the creation of a network of partners of the UNESCO Global Geopark Famenne-Ardenne.
The establishment of partnerships brings undeniable added value and increased visibility to the project and its partners (museums, attractions, local products, crafts, restaurants, accommodation, etc.).
Becoming a partner of the UNESCO Global Geopark Famenne-Ardenne means, among other things:
· a unique opportunity to take part in the development, promotion and prestigious reputation of our beautiful region;
· the promotion and enhancement of operators or activities at local, regional, national, international and even global levels;
· committing to an eco-responsible approach that encourages, among other things, awareness of energy consumption, the development of short supply chains and collaboration with local producers.
By signing a Partnership Agreement, partners contribute to the enhancement and territorial identity development of the UNESCO Global Geopark Famenne-Ardenne.
They commit to a quality-driven approach that is essential for the sustainable and economic development of the territory and are encouraged, where appropriate, to engage in other recognised quality initiatives (“Wallonia, Quality Destination”, “Bienvenue Vélo”, etc.).
Through their commitment and involvement in the development project of the UNESCO Global Geopark Famenne-Ardenne, partners enhance the visibility of the territory, as well as the quality of reception, accommodation, attractions and museums, leisure activities, local products and traditional know-how, …
The development of a network of partners of the UNESCO Global Geopark Famenne-Ardenne also aims to offer UNESCO visitors a range of high-quality services, activities and products that are representative of UNESCO’s values.
