What motivated you to be awarded the "Famenne-Ardenne UNESCO Global Geopark" label?
"We are motivated to become a partner of the Famenne-Ardenne Geopark in order to strengthen our connection with the region and actively contribute to the promotion of its natural and cultural heritage.
Through this approach, the hotel aims to raise guests’ awareness of the local richness and to develop sustainable partnerships with regional stakeholders."
What is your approach to sustainable development and environment friendly practices?
"As a newly established hotel that opened in 2020, one of our priorities has been to promote more environmentally friendly tourism.
Our facilities, food products, staff, and the activities we offer are all fully aligned with this commitment.
This dedication has been recognized through the awarding of two certifications: the independent Planet21 label and the Bienvenue Vélo (Welcome Bikes) label.
To bring this vision to life, several actions have been implemented:
· Optimized energy management: Electrical and thermostatic sensors have been installed in the rooms to reduce unnecessary energy consumption.
· Water conservation: Our rooms are equipped with flow regulators, and we encourage guests to limit towel changes through awareness signage. As a thank-you, guests who participate receive a complimentary drink at the bar.
· Reduction of plastic waste: We favor the use of glass bottles and plan to install a self-service water fountain.
· Responsible hygiene: Welcome products are provided in large, refillable containers to reduce single-use packaging.
· Sustainable mobility: We offer electric bicycles to encourage car-free travel.
