What is it you do?
“Les Glycines is a tourist gîte,right in the heart of Hotton,that can comfortably accommodate 6 people (plus a baby) throughout the year. The gîte is available to rent for one night or more. The charming building has been fully renovated and features a wooden deck outdoors and a large garden, 100m from the River Ourthe and just 10 minutes from all the shops and amenities in Hotton.”
What prompted you to seek "Famenne-Ardenne UNESCO Global Geopark Partner" status?
“Our primary motivations are our love for this beautiful region and the desire to share it with others. We are also ready and willing to step up our commitment to sustainable development and eco-responsibility for our gîte.”
What is your approach to sustainable development and environment friendly practices?
“We have focused on waste sorting. We encourage all our guests to sort their waste thoughtfully and use the composting area provided. To help them, we have had leaflets printed with explanatory diagrams. We also take pains to tell our guests about the local producers in Hotton, so they can try the local produce and, in so doing, encourage short supply chains.”
