What is it you do?
"Accommodation in a typical 18th-century half-timbered building from the Famenne region, restored with all modern comforts. Sleeps up to 11 people."
What prompted you to seek "Famenne-Ardenne UNESCO Global Geopark Partner" status?
"We would like to become a partner in order to promote sustainable tourism in the region. It is important for us to attract guests who are interested in the nature and heritage of the Famenne-Ardenne area.
The holiday home also contributes to raising awareness about nature conservation and respect for heritage, notably through the renovation of the building in its original style and through efforts to save energy."
What is your approach to sustainable development and environment friendly practices?
"Yes, we are committed to a sustainable development approach.
The holiday home is insulated with high-quality materials and features energy-efficient systems such as a heat pump, solar panels, and a controlled mechanical ventilation system (CMV).
An electric vehicle charging station is also installed.
We sort our waste and contribute to preserving the views over the valley."
